Christina Aguilera officially Engaged to Matthew Rutler

Earlier today Christina took to twitter to announce the news of her engagement to long term partner Matthew Rutler, In the tweet Christina posted the caption "He asked and I said……" Followed by a close up photo of the couple holding hands and Christina wearing her new engagement ring.

Christina Aguilera performs at the 'Stand Up To Cancer Event'

Christina looked Gorgeous while attending the 'Stand Up To Cancer' event on Tuesday 28th January 2014 in Culver City, California. The event, which was organised to raise awareness in the fight against lung cancer had a huge turn out with some of the biggest stars in Hollywood turning out to attend the event.
The 31 year old rocked a black fedora, pinstriped shirt, black skinny jeans and Christian Louboutin Shoes.

Where Have I been?

Well it's been a long time since I came onto this blog, To tell you the truth I forgot I had made it.

Mickey Mouse Club

Today I found a video of Christina Aguilera returning home on the Mickey Mouse Club. I was surprised to find out how much she has changed since her rise to fame, although there were a lot of similarities in her personality and her voice sounds the same as it does now which was very strange, in a good way. It was very interesting to watch as I had never seen it before.

Christina vs. Vampire Queen

Looking through some of Christina Aguilera's photographs today, I came across this image that made me think of the Vampire Queen from HBO's True Blood. You can see that both of the images are similar and are both shot by the pool side. The outfits also bare a resemblance, looking at this photo, it makes me wonder, could this role have been played by Christina?

Two different singles

I recently discovered today after purchasing the single "Ain't no other man" that there is two versions of the single, I currently have the Blue version that contains the original song and an instrumental of the song, the Khaki coloured single contains the original song, a Jake Ridley remix, Ospina and Sullivan remix and an Acapella version of the song. I will keep my eyes open for this version as it would be interesting to hear it done Acapella.

Today I made an amazing discovery in the Charity shop, I was rummaging through the CD section when I came across the"Cant hold us down" and "Ain't no other man" singles! They were a bargain and now I have two more singles to add to my Christina collection.

Christina and Nicki Minaj Video?

When the single "Woohoo" was released on Itunes for purchase as Christina's second single from the album "Bionic", a lot of fans were wondering, will there be a video?.
Its been over 7 months now since the album was released and no news yet as to if a video is in the works. Due to the albums poor sales Christina was quoted saying that she was going to look forward to the future and promoting Burlesque, does this mean that she has given up on "Bionic"?. A tweet was posted by Stevie Boi stating that he was creating corsets for the new music video.

Due to the amount of time we have been left in the dark would it be fair to say that there will be no video? we can only hope.

Britney's new single released today!

Ok so this post is going a little off the topic of the blog but for good reason. Britney's single "Hold it against me" was released earlier today, and i have to say, I love this track. It could arguably be her best single in years. The song was produced by Dr Luke and Max Martin and they did an amazing job. The song has a very British club vibe to it and could possibly be the first song to make 'Dubstep' mainstream. The reason I bring this up is due to the rumours of a duet with Christina and Britney. If they are true, could we possibly hear a simular style of song for the pop legends? I would like to think so. Burlesque Costumes

I personally would love to see these costumes in real life. They are the original costumes from the hit musical "Burlesque" and are displayed at the Arclight Hollwood Cinema. The costumes were designed by Micheal Kaplin and were worn by Christina in different scenes of the movie.

This is the costume worn during Christina's performance of the song "I am a good girl" I like this outfit very much, I like the way the feathered edge moves while she is performing the routine .



This outfit is from the emotional performance "Bound to you". This is my favourite outfit, the whole concept was done very well, the colour choice the hair style, this scene really moved me.




This outfit is from the performance "Guy what takes his time". I liked this performance because it was more quirky and seemed to embrace the essence of Burlesque with the strip tease. The outfit is cleverly made and I love the idea of making an outfit entirely out of pearls.

'Express' X factor

When I heard that Christina Aguilera was coming here to the UK to perform on the X factor, My heart started racing, at first, I thought this to be a rumour as no confirmation had been made, But yet closer to the day of the X factor final it was confirmed that she was indeed going to be performing on the live show. The whole performance was amazing and dispute the bad press she received in the UK tabloids for being over exposed sales figures for the Burlesque soundtrack went up by 400%. This is by far my favourite performance of a track from Burlesque she had done. The dancing was great and her vocals where no were short of perfect.
